Programs and Partners
Willowbrook is proud to partner with some non-profits that are doing great work in the greater Huntsville area. One way we do this is through Serving the City 2nd Saturday, where we work on a project for a different ministry partner each month. We also have a Serving the City Intensive, where we send out people to projects across the city. This year’s intensive is scheduled for May 18-19, 2018, and wraps up with a celebration and ice cream social on Sunday, May 20.
Join us as we meet together each week – we laugh, we cry, we support, we learn – we do life together. Adopt. Ed is a group of people who have a heart for foster care and adoption and families touched by them. We encourage each other and learn the best way to parent children from hard places. Whether you’re waiting for your first placement or have been parenting for years, we are sure to cover a question or struggle that you have considered or encountered. We meet at the Madison campus on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 6:00-7:30pm. Childcare is available for all ages.

BY HIS HANDS
This is a ministry of handy men and women who offer household repair work to the following members of Willowbrook Baptist Church: widows, single parents, wives of deployed service men, elderly, and those who are home-centered. The By His Hands team would like to extend their “hands” to those in our church family who may need help with some of the following: changing a hard to reach light bulb, fixing a toilet or a drain, emergency yard work, building a ramp, wood trim, checking a leaky roof, repairing window areas, changing a heating or air filter, repairing sheetrock, changing smoke alarm batteries, and help with painting. We will meet and work as a team several times a year based on requests. We usually meet the first week or weekend of the following months: January, April, July and October (plus some emergency calls).

CHOOSE LIFE/HUNTSVILLE PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER
Choose Life is a ministry filled with opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Each year, Willowbrook hosts a baby shower to supply the needs for the moms at Choose Life who have chosen life for their babies. The new baby gift that you bring will be such a blessing to the mom and her baby. Your gift may be the only new gift they receive. Each time a lady joins the program “Life Choices”, she is given the gospel, practical life advice, Godly wisdom and a new baby gift. Please donate a new baby gift whether it be clothing or a larger item like a stroller or pack and play. The greatest need for these women is a pack and play. Some cannot afford a baby bed, so this is a great option for them. This is a good opportunity for your life group to go in together as an outreach. All gifts are appreciated!

FOR LIFE MINISTRIES
For Life Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose goal is to empower, equip, and educate others in order to meet the needs of the many orphaned, outcast and oppressed, teaching and nurturing them in the truth of Christ’s unconditional love applied in all situations, regardless of age, gender, color or nationality. Our Love One Madison County program serves local families in need of a hand through food and prayer. Our vision is to relationally invest in one person at a time with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
GRACES OF GURLEY
Gurley has the unfortunate distinction of having the greatest percentage of children living in poverty in Madison County. Over 60% of our children struggle to have their basic needs met. We pray that people would become quick to help and slow to take offense, that they walk with the Lord through prayer and service and that they are filled with the joy of Christ as they live day to day. We pray that people that serve are transformed by the friendships they make and the tendering of their hearts beyond all understanding. We preach about God’s love by being His Hands and Feet through the following ministries: Discipleship Classes, Christmas Store, Backpack Ministry, Bags of Blessings- New, Parenting Classes, Home Renovation, Tutoring, Police and Teacher Appreciation, Food Boxes through For Life Ministries, HEALS Clinic, Sports Sponsorships, Counseling grants, Dream First – Affordable Housing Initiative. Starting with Credit Counseling and Budgeting this Fall, Kathryn’s Kids- Equestrian Day Camp/ Family Fun Day, Parade of Leaders
